Atos Group and Microsoft Forge Deeper Alliance to Deploy Secure Agentic AI
Atos Group is significantly expanding its strategic partnership with Microsoft, integrating Microsoft 365 Copilot and E7 across its global workforce of 56,000 employees to boost productivity and client services with secure agentic AI.

Atos Group and Microsoft Corp. have announced a substantial expansion of their strategic collaboration, aiming to integrate secure agentic AI across Atos Group’s global workforce and client network. The initiative will see Microsoft 365 Copilot deployed to all 56,000 Atos employees in 54 countries, providing them with AI-powered assistance.
This deployment positions Atos as the first French Global System Integrator to implement Microsoft 365 Copilot and one of the earliest adopters worldwide of Microsoft 365 E7, a unified solution that integrates Microsoft 365 E5, Microsoft 365 Copilot, and Agent 365, all powered by Work IQ and enhanced with Microsoft Entra Suite, Defender, Intune, and Purview security features.
Atos is also leveraging Microsoft Copilot Studio and Microsoft Foundry to develop and manage bespoke agents for its IT operations, business functions, and client projects. These efforts will be consolidated under Atos’ Sovereign Agentic AI studios, designed to facilitate the safe integration of AI into production environments.
Jared Spataro, Chief Marketing Officer, AI at Work at Microsoft, highlighted the transformative nature of this partnership, stating, “We’ve entered a new era of work — one where the most ambitious companies aren’t just adopting AI, they’re redesigning work from the ground up around it. That’s exactly what Atos is doing. By putting AI in the hands of employees, they’re unlocking new levels of speed, quality and innovation for their clients — and we’re proud to partner with them on that journey.”
Workforce-Wide Deployment Grounded in Security
The expanded partnership will focus on several key areas:
– Scaling agentic AI across Atos’ global workforce and client ecosystem.
– Accelerating Atos’ AI transformation for both internal use and client offerings.
– Reinforcing joint go-to-market strategies, utilizing Atos’ own transformation experience to guide clients in adopting agentic solutions, particularly within regulated industries.
Frédéric Aubrière, Group Chief Digital & Information Officer at Atos Group, emphasized the significance of this investment, calling it “the most significant technology investment in our people that Atos has made in a generation, and a direct expression of our AI strategy.” He added, “Giving every Atos and Eviden employee, wherever they sit in the value chain, a personal AI assistant changes what is possible for our clients. We are not piloting. We are deploying at the scale of the entire company, because we believe agentic AI will define the next decade of professional services, and we want our Atos people to lead that future, not follow it.”
Security, Identity, and Governance as Core Pillars
A key aspect of Atos’ strategy involves a deliberate architectural choice to unify identity, security, compliance, and agent governance within a single enterprise control plane. This is achieved through the integration of Microsoft Entra, Microsoft Defender, Intune, Microsoft Purview, and Microsoft Agent 365. For a company operating in 54 countries and serving highly regulated sectors such as defense, financial services, healthcare, and public administration, this consolidated approach is crucial for the secure and sustainable deployment of AI at scale.
Atos Group’s AI strategy is built on three interconnected pillars:
1. Agentic AI for mission-critical environments, designed for regulated and sensitive contexts.
2. Digital sovereignty, enabling customers to maintain control and authority over their digital assets.
3. Cybersecurity, providing end-to-end security across the entire digital chain.
Atos views agentic AI as the defining technology for the next era of enterprise services and sees Microsoft as a key partner in navigating the execution challenges. By acting as “Client Zero” and transforming its own operating model, Atos is industrializing agentic AI into a governed, production-ready capability, aiming to deliver tangible value rather than future promises.
